How to use tap water in Florida

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced that it is investigating a Florida-based company that sells bottled water for residents to drink.

The company, RIOTap, said it was “reviewing” the investigation after it was revealed on Tuesday that the company was selling tap water at prices higher than the federal guidelines set for the federal government.RIOTap’s CEO, Ryan J. Davis, confirmed the news to Ars in a statement, saying that the government “is reviewing the investigation to determine if any violations of Federal law have occurred.”

The department has been investigating RIO Tap since March, when an undercover video surfaced of Davis selling water to customers in Florida.

The investigation was launched after the video went viral, with the company ultimately admitting to selling tapwater at higher than average prices.

The Department of Justice said in a March 20 statement that the investigation found “multiple instances of individuals engaging in practices that are inconsistent with federal law.”

Davis has denied any wrongdoing and has called the investigation “a sham.”

Davis told Ars in March that he was “confident that we will be able to restore our reputation and regain customers trust and confidence.”
